NYE Beauty

Can you even believe that New Year's Eve is just around the corner? If you're anything like me, you're still in Christmas mode (read: still enjoying my comfy new yoga pants too much) & are in desperate need of a little beauty inspiration to get you excited for the last big event of the year. Here are three of my favorite looks to help you ring in 2016 with your makeup on point.

The Smoky Eye + Soft Lip

Here, we have two options that are equally amaze. First up, the cool tone smoky eye + soft nude lip...this is such a classic look that never fails to impress.

For round two, we have the warm tone bronze/copper smoky eye with soft peachy tones on lips & cheeks. Love how fresh this update to the classically festive look feels.

The Red Lip + Bronze Eye

This combination is always a winner in my book...after all, what could possibly be more festive than rocking your favorite red lippie? Adding a warm, shimmery eye keeps the look fresh & modern and gives you tons of flexibility with how dramatic the look becomes. You can keep it soft and simple like J. Law & Rachel did (left images), or amp up the drama a bit like Amanda & Ashley (right images) by blowing out that bronzy, shimmering shadow into the crease.

The Vampy Lip + Statement Liner

Though its hard to pick a favorite look from these 3, this one might just be mine. A deep, vampy shade on the lips paired with dark winged liner feels oh so right now. The lip can be matte, creamy, or even blotted down for a stained effect...all options are equally on trend. If you don't love rocking winged liner, try extending your black pencil slightly past your natural lash line & blending upward for a softer smudgy effect.

This look gets an honorable mention, because I'm not crazy about those funky false lashes...but you guys, that top knot is absolute perfection with a deep lip! Who else is totally rocking this hair on NYE?

As 2015 winds down, I'm also spending time setting my intentions & goals for 2016 instead of making resolutions I know won't be kept. I'm pushing myself to set goals that are measurable and achievable as a way of letting the universe in on my intentions for the year. I will also be making a point to practice patience & positivity every day this coming year. The longer I live, the more obvious it becomes that you attract the same energy you create, so nothing but positive vibes over here!

Here's to 2016 being your best year yet!
