V-day Beauty Inspiration

Ready for a Valentine's Day beauty look that doesn't involve red lips? Me too. Don’t get me wrong, Valentine’s Day practically begs for everything red & red lips will always be a knockout look for the holiday. But if you’d prefer a makeup look that’s a bit more subtle (and a bit more creative), then red lips just might not be for you. So, without further are my favorite red-free inspiration images for all of your V-day plans.

Magenta Lips

Because magenta looks amazing on everyone...seriously. It is such a lovely dressy-appropriate alternative to your usual red & pink lipsticks. Satin, glossy, or matte finishes all work equally well here. Complete look with your favorite neutral blush, highlighter (on the top of your cheekbones, inner corner of your eyes, and cupid’s bow), a good coat of mascara, and tinted brow gel.

Rose Shadow

Ok, so this look is not for everyone...but if you find the right shade & you’re adventurous with your beauty looks, rocking pink shadow can be such a dreamy look. Top off your lids with a clear gloss to up the drama (as long as you don’t mind doing a few touch ups through the night). Try to keep the rest of your face pretty basic...a sheer tinted lip balm, groomed brows, and a touch of bronzer should do the trick.

Pink Lips & Shimmery Lids

This look is classic & timelessly beautiful. You can keep your lip color sheer & soft, or go for more of a pop of color...either way, stay away from gloss here. You don’t want anything to compete with that gorgeous pearly shimmer on your lids. Defined brows, soft cheeks, and a generous coat of mascara polish off this look.

Rose Gold Lids

Rose. Gold. Do I need to say more? Feel free to add some sparkle if you’re a glitter loving girl. You can keep your cheeks and lips natural & neutral, or go for a monochromatic look by using a warm peachy blush & sheer lipstick. Finish the look with a touch of bronzer to warm up your skin, 2 coats of black mascara on curled lashes, and clear brow gel.
